For the past several years, I've worked with students both one-on-one and in the classroom, from my time as a Mathnasium instructor to serving as a teaching assistant in college. When I took the SAT in high school I scored a perfect 800 on the math section and a 99th percentile overall score. What I've learned is that learning is most effective when it's personal: every student has a different way of learning, and the key is to adapt the approach until it clicks.
My sessions are structured but flexible. I focus on breaking complex problems into clear, manageable steps, while also giving students strategies they can use long after our session ends. Whether it's preparing for a big test or keeping up with daily coursework, my goal is to take away the stress and replace it with confidence.
Families I've worked with often notice improvements quicklynot just in grades or test scores, but in the student's willingness to tackle challenges. That's the part I enjoy most: seeing a student go from "I can't do this" to "I've got this."
