I am passionate about teaching others the appreciation of reading and the process of writing. This passion transfers over to the method that I use to tutor students. I encourage students to be able to develop an understanding of the tools they need to develop comprehension skills and become proficient writers. I work patiently and with an understanding that each student is unique in his or her learning style. Through the use of student practice and teacher observation, I am able to develop a plan that fits each student best. I currenlty teach Secondary English to junior and senior high school students. I have taught in middle school and high school settings in three different states. This background has given me the experience and diversity to work with younger and older students. I received my degree in Secondary English from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, and later received my Master's degree in Education from Neumann University, also located in Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with students from all levels, and I welcome students with various learning styles. I am willing to work with younger or older students.
