I have more than 6 years' experience tutoring and supporting students. I am passionate about supporting students to reach their potential regardless of their background and I have expertise in study skills and academic writing.
I have Master's and PhD degrees in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, where I currently work as a Student Developer, supporting students' learning. I am co-writing a study skills textbook, for Oxford University Press, alongside completing my ILM level 3 coaching qualification and a qualification in: Teaching Students with Specific Learning Differences.
I have a collaborative approach to tutoring in which I work together with students to create strategies so that they can become the most effective learners, whilst boosting their confidence. I endeavour to find practical solutions to challenges they may face and support them to develop their writing, time management, critical thinking and preparation for exams and coursework, in addition to other key skills.
