I have been a mathematics teacher and tutor for 18 years. I have a Master's degree in Math Education from Western Governors University. I have mostly worked with middle school students, but I have tutored younger students, high school students, and adults also. While math is my passion, I am also certified to teach Social Studies, English, and Reading. I enjoy teaching and helping students make real-world connections. I love building relationships with my students and watching them grow and learn, as I am a big proponent of the Growth Mindset theory. I believe all students can grow through quality instruction, effort, and thoughtful practice. In my spare time, I enjoy sitting on the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
