I am passionate about helping students because I love to inspire them, engage them, and see them transform. I have over 20 years of experience working with middle and high school students a classroom and online teacher and a school counselor.
As a teacher, I taught and tutored students in various CTAE (Career, Technical and Agricultural Education) such as keyboarding, business law, work-based learning, digital technology, and office procedures.
As a school counselor, in addition to providing career, academic, and social-emotional support to students, I implemented and led small and large group curriculum lessons and tutoring lessons that included but not limited to time management, study skills, test-taking strategies, organizational skills, and coping skills.
I am a graduate of Morris Brown College located in Atlanta, GA.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. I am also a grauduate of Albany State University located in Albany, GA. I received my Masters of Education degree in School Counselor.
Helping struggling students with basic academic skills such as study skills and organization skills is fun because they get to see for themselves how mastering these skills not only helps them be successful in the classroom but these skills are applicable in life.
