My main hobby is volunteering with my local Junior League chapter. I love the feeling after each shift and knowing I helped my community and its partners. I am an advisor to new members, so I ensure that they are well acquainted with our mission, as well as feel like they are getting the best volunteering experience as a new member of JLTW. I also enjoy volunteering internationally to support animal sanctuaries and bring awareness to animal trafficking and the conservation of land affected by deforestation. Working at animal sanctuaries is hard manual labor, but so rewarding to see what the organizations can do with little resources and a big heart. I also enjoy creating floral design arrangements, and one day hope to have my own floral design business, which I always said jokingly that this is what I would do when I retired from education. I have recently taken up the hobby of caring for hydrangeas, similar to taking care of a pet. They need to be on a regimented watering schedule of a gallon of water every other day and in partial sunlight. For my long-term interest, I love to travel! You could put me on a plane anywhere, and I am sure I will find a way to have a good time and photo opportunities. Of all the places I have traveled to, I could live in London and Thailand.
