I graduated from CUNY City College where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Since then I have been working as a Creative Tech Resident at the GIANT Room, teaching children creativity through the combination of STEM and Art (STEAM). In addition to this (and the occasional odd job) I intern at Surya Sound Temple, a music studio where I assist in everything from recording to post-production/mixing. I am very passionate about music and find great fulfillment in helping others make music a part of their lives. In my experience people are intimidated by the process of learning music because they think music theory is nothing but hard rules and regulations like in the sciences or mathematics. This could be further from the truth. The one piece of advice that I would absolutely want all of my students to keep with them is that there are no rules in music, only suggestions. Other than that, it can be whatever you want it to be. In my spare time I love to be active (running, bike riding, calisthenics), try out new restaurants, write songs, cook and watch youtube cooking videos.
