About Me

I am a graduate of Wayne State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 2001. I have also earned a Master in the Art of Teaching degree from Marygrove College in 2004 and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University in 2021. I have spent my entire career (21 years) teaching middle school students English-Language Arts, as well as a few years of Science. While I am new to tutoring, I have quite a bit of experience in teaching and working with students. I believe learning should be enjoyable, and fun, when possible. Education is vital for a meaningful, rewarding life, so when it is time to make critical decisions, the tools of logic and problem-solving can be put to use. I try to help all of my students develop skills which they will use not only in an academic setting, but also in the real-world. In my free time, I enjoy watching my two children compete in swimming, watching sports, and reading.
