Initially I thought I wanted to work in the business field and so I obtained a BS degree in Business Administration. After marrying and starting a family, the opportunity presented itself to go back to school and so I jumped at it and now I am the proud owner of 4 additional degrees all in the education field. I am a certified Special Education Teacher with 11 years classroom experience. During this time, I have worked with grades K-12. I hold the following degrees: BSE in Early Childhood Education, MSE in PK-12 Special Education Instruction, Ed.S in Educational Leadership and a MSE in K-12 Guidance Counseling. I have over 11 years' experience working within a classroom housing multiple grades/ages. I can tailor my instruction to meet the needs of the individual student, as well as a group setting. Along with the academic experience that I hold, I am the very proud mother of a 25 yr. old autistic daughter. I share this information to say I have a unique perspective of seeing both sides of the educational journey with a brilliant child. One simply needs to find the right path to take to tap into their brilliance. It isn't always smooth and many times it seems daunting, but perseverance will eventually lead to great rewards. Along with my 25 yr. old, I also have a 16 yr. old basketball playing girl who keeps me busy. I would welcome the opportunity to work with your students and help them reach their goals.
