I am very excited about math and science and truly enjoy sharing that passion for learning with others. The world is an amazing place and it gets even more incredible the more you learn!
I have my Masters degree in Education and am a certified Math, Science, and Special Education teacher. I have over 8 years of experience teaching at the secondary (high school) level and an additional 8 years at the early childhood level. I love animals and my house has an ever changing array of critters. Currently we have 6 cats, a 50 gallon freshwater aquarium, and a service dog in training.
Undergraduate Degree: Baker College of Flint - Bachelor in Arts, Special Education
Graduate Degree: University of St. Thomas at Houston - Master of Arts, Special Education
I grew up traveling around the world with my family due to my father's job. I love learning bits and pieces of different languages and have a basic understanding of German, Spanish, and ASL. My family is also briefly shown in a National Geographic movie about the trains of India (don't blink, you'll miss me). I have always had a scientific curiousity about the world and love figuring out what makes things tick. In my free time I enjoy crocheting and knitting things to keep my friends and family warm and to donate to our local hospice organization.
