My areas of expertise include English writing and literature, as well as helping students succeed in the transition between high school and college. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from Baylor University and a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Central Oklahoma. I also have experience teaching First-Year Composition at the university level. Among my first-year composition students, I am known to help students become more confident in their writing and provide good one-on-one feedback on essays. I also have over a decade of experience as a creative writer, and enjoy mentoring young fiction writers. In addition, I earned a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and worked in college admissions. Combined with my English writing background, this allows me to effectively aid students with their college admissions essays and navigate the college application process.
