Welcome to my page! I have been teaching and tutoring for over 20 years and look forward to helping you!
I taught first grade for 11 years, then earned a Master's degree in special education and taught K-8 special education for 2 years. I then returned to teaching at the elementary level as a resource teacher and have been doing that for the last 5 years. I have worked with students in class and as a tutor in grades K-8.
My specialties include reading intervention, educating those with disabilities, and math. I am certified in several reading intervention programs including OG and use unique approaches to learning. I primarily work with grades K -8, with most of my experience being in elementary grades.
My approach to learning is a guiding step by step process until you reach the independent level. I strongly believe in adapting lessons to meet learning styles that best fit the needs of each unique learner.
