Physics Tutoring review by Jeremy in Homestead, FL
We worked on the review sheet more. In this session we discussed 4 problems. While this might seem slow, we reviewed a significant amount of material for interference and diffraction. We also devoted a lot of time to understanding an overly complex Doppler effect question. The student asked if I would be available for a tutoring session the following night.

Physics Tutoring review by Chris in Homestead, FL
The student and I began reviewing for his math final in this session. He had a comprehensive list of all the chapters they had covered in class this semester and suggested practice problems. We began by reviewing the most recent concepts first, beginning with limits. We went over the basics of limits and how they differ from simply plugging a number into a function. I showed him how to handle limits going to finite numbers and infinity. Once we had done a couple problems on solving limits with calculation, we spent some time going over how to determine limits from graphical information. We then used limits to help us sketch graphs of rational polynomials. Once we had finished with limits, we went back to the beginning of the semester and reviewed trig. We looked at the basics of the trig functions and how to work with them graphically. Our session ended at this point and we will use the next session to continue working on trig and getting him ready for his final.
