Hello! Let's get to know each other. I have completed more than 50 hours of professional tutoring along with 10+ hours of tutor training. There are many students I've worked with that come to me asking for help on specific math topics and some that just want me to look over their work. Whatever it is, I am here to help! Everyone has their own unique skills and talents and I believe that if we work together as a cohesive team, we can use our skills to solve your math problems.

There are many things I love about tutoring. The first one would be maintaining positive connections with my students. I love working with students and getting to know their likes, dislikes, interests, and background. That helps us get to know each other and feel more comfortable communicating. I believe comfort is one of the main factors that has the ability to improve a student's performance and ability to address their questions.

Tutors take the responsibility of helping students strengthen their understanding of what they have learned. I help students improve their understanding and guide them towards accomplishing their goal of learning and working on their own. The goal is to help tutees establish a secure foundation where they feel comfortable working independently and understand the background of why something is done a certain way.

I believe some of the important characteristics of a good tutor include kindness and empathy, knowledge, productivity, acceptance, and many more. I am very accepting of other backgrounds and learning styles which is key in forming a good tutor and building positive relationships with students.

I've been internally tutoring since grade school and became a college math peer tutor from 2018-2019 while in high school! I have been awarded the Level 1 International Tutor Training Program Certification. Math continues to be one of my favorite subjects and I am excited to answer all of your questions to expand your knowledge in mathematics!

I would love to work with you!

Hobbies

My love for the integration of biology and chemistry is endless. Understanding the way our body functions and the chemical processes undergone by the many cells in our body continues to be my passion. Mathematics is the core of these subjects which has always been my strong suit. I would catch myself printing out math practice questions to do in my free time! But besides all that, some of my hobbies include biking, walking around nature, spending quality time with friends and family, watching sports, and baking! I am also involved in the Pre-Health Professions Club, BESA Club, Omega Ti Club, Chemistry club and I am the President and founder of the Minority Students in Science club at my university as a way to help underrepresented students in their undergraduate STEM coursework. To focus on my clinical experience, I am also an American Red Cross Biomedical Services volunteer where I have the privilege of making a direct impact. My work has opened my eyes to the critical need for blood donors and the difference frontline essentials make in our communities. I hope to carry this experience with me as I enter medical school. Through a series of service projects and patient interactions, nothing brings me greater joy than to help those around me. I would love to be your tutor!
