My goal is to help students activate their prior knowledge and make new discoveries in the area of science. Students will receive a variety of instruction based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards. Lessons are designed to help students build confidence and work independently, all while at their own pace. Students will have many opportunities to learn/do science in an inquiry-based hands-on environment; students aren't waiting for the teacher or someone else to provide an answer instead, they are seeking solutions, designing investigations, and asking new questions. Students are actively involved in making observations, collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information, and drawing conclusions while developing useful problem-solving skills they will use throughout their life.

In my spare time I love any opportunity to ski....water or snow. I also have 3 dogs and 2 cats that I spend quality time with. When I am not skiing, or playing with my pets, I am an avid vegetable gardener. There is nothing better than a home grown tomato.
