So many people approach math with a crinkled up face and a feeling that they just can't do math. Personally, I love math, but my goal for my students is to have them leave say, "It may not be my cup of tea, but I can do it." Mastery, and a sense of "Yes I can" is what I hope to leave my students with.
I am always interested in trying to connect math to something else that you love, because in fact math describes the world around us.
I am intensely curious about so many things and as a result I have pursued many interests.

I have been a scientist and an artist. I worked for many years as a research geneticist. Currently I am an actor, VO artist and newly graduated Audio Engineer. I love sounds and sometimes try to recreate the sound I just heard. I have been singing for the past 1.5 years. I never thought I would sing because many years ago I was in an auto accident which injured my vocal cords. I got my speech back, but I never expected to sing.
