I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. I worked in the health care profession for three years before deciding to go back to school and get my teaching certification. My love of kids and desire to help others was a driving force in my decision to teach. With a certification in special education, general education, and ESL, I have been able to help children who have a variety of learning difficulties. I taught for 19 years in different classroom settings in reading, writing, and math from 2nd grade- 8th grade. I enjoy working with students one on one or in a small group setting because I feel I can get to know my students better and can tailor instruction to meet individual needs. I believe all kids can learn and as a teacher, I have to know what makes each one "tick", what they enjoy, what kind of learner they are and how they learn best.
Undergraduate Degree: Texas AM University - Bachelor in Arts, Exercise Physiology
I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy being outside planting flowers, playing with my animals- horse, donkeys, pigs and dogs, and I love watching my kids play their sports.
