I'm a born and raised Austinite and recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in May 2015. I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington! I earned a B.S. in Physics with honors as well as a minor in mathematics. While in college, I was part of the UTeach program, a nationwide initiative to train science and math students to teach. In this program I developed a passion for working with students both in and out of the classroom. I'm a graduate of Shiraz University, and I grew up in Shiraz, Iran. I came to the USA in 2009 and I am trying to transfer to dental school. Most students come to me for math, but I've also worked with standardized test preparation, chemistry, biology, physics, statistics, and time management. Math and science classes are really just elaborate puzzles to solve, and most of my students learn to enjoy the process of figuring out what to do once I help them develop the confidence and skill set they need to be successful. I am a dual degree graduate with a bachelor's in both zoology (from liberal arts school - Ohio Wesleyan University) and biomedical engineering (from Washington University in St. Louis). I am working towards a Masters in Electrical Engineering and expect to receive it this August 2021. This dual degree program has the purpose of producing well rounded students - rather than students jumping straight into engineering, dual degree students spend 3 years at a liberal arts school learning how to write, analyze and express their artistic side.
