I've always been passionate about math and teaching math. The "aha!" moment when teaching students and finally making a break-through is probably one of the most rewarding things about teaching. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from Queens College and I'm currently pursing my Master of Arts in Applied Mathematics at Queens College, as well. I like to tutor a lot of middle school math because I believe that in order to succeed in higher math one must first have a solid fundamental understanding of the basics. When teaching, I tend to go through the details thoroughly and always ask students if they're following along so that we either continue or review the material again. I always make sure my students are not afraid to tell me they don't understand what I just explained, and that I would be more than happy to review it as many times as they need.
