I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a minor in Statistics from Dickinson College. During my studies at Dickinson College, I have tutored both my peers in physics as well as children of the local community through the YMCA. When tutoring math and science, I find it is important to give students applicable real-world examples in order to promote interest in the subject. I am a firm disbeliever in the phrase, "when am I going to use this in 'real-life'" because furthering education in any subject improves the quality of life. I also learned the importance of gaining knowledge in unorthodox ways during my abroad experience in New Zealand. In my spare time. My full-time job is in end-user services for a nuclear energy company and in my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, and listening to podcasts.
