I am a graduate of Davenport University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. After graduation, I spent several years working in customer service, marketing, and sales positions. Within the last year, I realized the business world was not where I was meant to be and have returned to school to get my teaching certificate. I am currently enrolled at Grand Valley State University majoring in Secondary Education with a focus on social studies. I spent the past school year working as a paraprofessional in 6th grade along with tutoring Chinese children in English online. I tutor a broad range of subjects but am most passionate about English, Math, and Social Studies. I believe English and Maths are the foundations to propel students forward and Social Studies holds a special place in my heart as my father taught the subject. As someone who enjoys learning, my style of teaching is to impress the joys of learning on students and show them you can have fun while doing it. Each day there is something new that can be learned. Outside of the educational world, I enjoy escaping into a new book, running, hitting the golf course for a quick round, or truly anything related to sports.
