I am a life-long learner! I read a lot, and listen to audiobooks in the car. History is so fascinating! Other hobbies include playing and listening to music, especially classical, lifting weights, running (slowly), and writing a little. Also traveling! I've been to 4 continents and hope to get to at least 6, and who knows, maybe into orbit one day.

I am a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, where I received a B.A. in History (after moonlighting as a literature major) and a B.M. in Vocal Performance. Following graduation, I went on to earn my M.A. at Eastern Illinois University in European History and American Intellectual History. Now, I am progressing toward a Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago where I study British History, World History, Science and Technology Studies, and the Philosophy and Teaching of History.

I am a Senior Statistics major from Macalester College. I have been a tutor for 8 years, tutoring a range of Math and Statistics subjects from algebra to Probability. I am able to cater to specific student needs, and I believe everyone is capable of succeeding when giving the right support. I find it particularly accomplishing when I am able to help my students succeed.

I'm comfortable with a wide range of academic topics. I love working one-on-one with students because it allows me to find creative ways to help them master new concepts. I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington where I received my Bachelor's degree in English.
