I've been studying Latin for over a decade and am currently hold MA degrees in Latin and Classics from Columbia University. I also completed a Bachelor's degree in Classical Languages and Literatures at Smith College (with a minor in the Study of Women and Gender). I have multiple years of experience teaching and tutoring high school students and undergraduates Latin and Ancient Greek language, literature, and culture. I am also available to work with students taking classes on Classical literature in translation. My goal in tutoring is to help students deepen their understanding of languages and make connections with Greco-Roman culture, literature, history, and mythology. When working with students, I also explore different approaches to the material in order to find skills and strategies that are most helpful for each individual's learning process. I especially enjoy incorporating short composition exercises into language instruction as another way to make Latin and Ancient Greek come alive for students.
