When I was in the seventh grade, I was unable to read, write or do mathematics. I was very fortunate that several middle school counselors recognized my learning disorders and provided me with tutoring and other assistance, so by the time I entered High School, I was up to grade level. This was 53 years ago. I was also very fortunate that I had an opportunity to work for a small CPA firm when I in the tenth grade, and entering High School, which changed my life and future forever. After graduating High School, I received a full scholarship to Woodbury University where I major in Accounting. I graduated from college in 2 years and 7 months, while working full time. After graduating from college, I worked as an auditor for a large Insurance Carrier. Over the next 45 years, I continued my education, gained valuable business knowledge and experience, and progressed to several Corporate Senior Level Management positions. After retiring 4 years ago, I started a small consulting practice to provide Professional Employer Organizations (Labor Leasing Companies) and Temporary Staffing Organizations with Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management, Business Operations, Profitability Analysis, Change Management, Leadership Development, and Financial Analysis to assist them in profitable growth and other business acquisitions. With the assistance of my wife and two sons, I continue to be active in this business today.
