I got a bachelors of science degree in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. I also performed research in the area of bioinorganic chemistry with an emphasis on general chemistry principles.
While I was in college at the University of Kansas I tutored General Chemistry and College Algebra/Pre-Calculus for 2.5 years, on average the students rated that they received 1.5 grades higher due to my tutoring. I was a science teacher at a private school teaching science to 7-12 graders, consisting of biology, earth science, and chemistry for two year after college as well.
Currently I am a 2nd year PhD student in Chemistry where I am researching education in chemistry with an emphasis on improving student performance.
