I am currently a sophomore at NC State University double majoring in Biochemistry and Japanese. Before that, I attended Wake STEM Early College at NC State, an early college high school program that allowed me to graduate high school with two years of free college credit.
I've had a few experiences with peer tutoring in Japanese before, but despite that I am definitely passionate about helping students become more independent learners and critical thinkers. These two skills were imparted on me greatly during high school, and are definitely necessary for my success in college. While my degrees are related to science and language, I also love to write which makes editing essays enjoyable for me. Helping students in reading and writing is something I believe I can excel at, along with more basic math concepts.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading (mostly Asian literature), going on road trips, watching anime and netflix, and cooking. Later this year I will be traveling to Japan for the first time, with the hopes of tutoring students in Japanese upon my return.
