I have always loved teaching. While growing up in my elementary years I had to do my homework and study myself because my older siblings were away at boarding schools. It was not easy for me then but I had to stay up late at night most times trying to do my assignments and study all on my own because most of my teachers didn't know how to effectively communicate.
Most times, once one or two persons are able to answer few questions in class, the teachers feel every other student is being carried along, which is not always true. I as a person then was not very quick in assimilating and understanding mathematics until I study again or someone explains using more than one approach. It wasn't until my eldest sister came to my rescue that I finally began to understand. One day she gave me a math question to do and she observed me closely and decided to be my tutor. This helped me a great deal. In fact, she was the one who took the time to teach me and help me succeed in my classes. So I promised myself that in future if I am going to be a tutor, I will make sure that I study and observe every student closely and try my best to make sure every student is carried along and understands properly.
