I have always been tutoring since high school, but began tutoring on a more frequent basis in college at Texas Tech University. During this period of time, I was involved in various campus organizations that interacted with the surrounding community schools, giving me an opportunity to interact with students from all ages, ranging from elementary to high school to college students.
My passion for tutoring stems from a love of helping others succeed, especially those who have yet to fully understand the importance of education. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and biology because they are fun and interesting. Ive always loved math since I can remember, but my love for biology arose during my second year of college. As a tutor, my teaching philosophy is to help my students view their subjects in a more positive sense in order to get them to begin understanding the subject and enjoy learning it even more. Coupled with mentorship, I believe that the tutoring is vital in guiding others towards the path of success.
Outside the realm of academia, I love watching movies, playing sports (soccer, basketball, etc.), composing/listening to music, and trying out new things.
