Presently, I am a high school teacher and have been teaching (and tutoring) students for 10 years. I also TA'd during university, running various biology and anatomy/physiology labs for science and non-science majors.
I earned a BA from the University of Dallas in Biology, and a MS in Public Health: Social and Behavioral Psychology from Capella University.
I have tutored privately for over 5 years now, primarily chemistry and AP environmental science. I am also able to tutor high school science and test prep.
Philosophically, my teaching method is about empowering the student, guiding and supporting them as they figure out their strengths and weaknesses so as to better their abilities in learning, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Outside of work, I do triathlons and am interested in all things health and fitness related, ranging reading books on public health to organizing local runs and hikes with friends.
