I was exposed to tutoring in school, where I enjoyed assisting my colleagues whenever they needed help with their studies. Through that experience I realized the passion and skill I have to share my knowledge. The responses I get from my friends and my students have been extremely encouraging for me to pursue this career further. I gain an immense satisfaction when an individual I have helped succeeds in their studies. Experience with students with different styles of learning have horned my skills of shape my teaching techniques, to match their requirements.
For the past four years I have been tutoring in a variety of subjects. My favorite subjects to tutor are biology and math related subjects. I graduated from University of Maryland with a 3.93 GPA majoring in Biological Science. During my undergraduate degree, I was fortunate to be selected as teacher's assistant for Cell Biology, where I was able to closely work with the teacher. This made me realize the importance of dedication towards students. Therefore, I ensure that I give my full dedication to my student(s) when I take the responsibility of teaching them.
Along with my experience with individual students, I have also been a group study session leader during my undergraduate degree for a period of 1.5 years and received an award for my outstanding performance in tutoring.
