What is your teaching philosophy?
I always assess my students' abilities and ask you what exactly you are looking to gain from our sessions. I believe that everyone learns in their own way, and everyone wants something unique out of their English learning experience. So whether you are hoping to prepare a presentation for work, or simply become more comfortable holding a conversation, I can provide the structure, knowledge, and friendly atmosphere that can help you on your way.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In our first session, we will get to know each other a little bit. I will assess your speaking, writing, listening and grammar abilities with a short quiz. Most importantly, we will develop a program that fits your English language needs specifically, as well as set up a regular schedule.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
During our sessions, students will pick up good English learning habits. I will show you how to look at the world and recognize the many opportunities you have to read and speak English in your everyday interactions. You will soon be reading maps and street and subway signs with excitement. You will look forward to buying your morning cup of coffee just for the conversation!
