My love of teaching certainly stems from my love of learning. As an undergraduate at Rice University here in Houston, TX, I will soon graduate with degrees in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Psychology. For the past three years, I've been working one-on-one tutoring my peers to help them achieve success in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, two of Rice's most rigorous science courses.
Last year, I tackled the Medical School Admissions Test in my slow climb to attend medical school. I scored a 522 (99th percentile) after following a very detailed and effective study schedule. One of my main focuses as a tutor is creating an individualized, student-focused study strategy that helps tutor sessions move quickly and student self-learning occur effortlessly.
I specialize in tutoring both high school students and undergraduates in the sciences and test prep - Biology, Chemistry (General and Organic), Biochemistry, Psychology, SAT Preparation, AP Test Preparation, and MCAT Test Preparation. I make myself very available to my students and accept all short-notice requests for tutoring (as long as it fits in my schedule!). My goal as a tutor is to get you the test or exam score you want and the knowledge and strategies you need to succeed, and I happily go the extra mile for students if they have questions outside of sessions - all you have to do is shoot me an email or text message!
Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information! I look forward to hearing from you :)
