I believe mathematics is beautiful and enjoyable and with practice and the right kind of instruction, everyone can significantly improve their math skills. This is the enthusiasm with which I approach each of my lessons.
I graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Georgia College and a Masters in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University. I have 6 years of tutoring experience from being a tutor in College Algebra, a laboratory assistant for Physics and a teaching assistant for Pre-Calculus. These roles called for different levels of tutoring from lesson planning to grading. My expertise is in tutoring students at the high school and college levels in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Linear Algebra, and Introductory Physics.
My main tools in tutoring are the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years and the ability to listen to the student's academic needs to achieve the desired success. To make it worthwhile, I thoroughly prepare for each tutoring session with concrete goals and action plans. After lessons, I evaluate performance and give feedback assigning areas to further work on. I strive to equip each of my students with new study skills that can be invaluable in their academic endeavors.
