To promote positive learning and achieve a strong academic foundation.

Ask the student about the subject. Get an overview of his lessons and what the student finds challenging.

Assigning the student work on a topic that we have reviewed.

I would find a teaching method that works with the student.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Practicing with several readings and asking lots of questions.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
It is always good to try different activities to find the best learning experience.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
I would try to connect to a topic the student enjoys, or I would try to include technology to the lesson.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Reviewing at the end of the lesson and asking questions related to our lesson.

I explain my own personal experience as a student.

With assessments.

I try to find out the student's strengths and weaknesses.
