I am passionate about teaching and learning math, and fully believe that every person can be successful! As a child, I had someone believe in me, and that has given me the drive to encourage and support others in their education. i am a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and my Master of Science in Secondary Education. I focused on Mathematics throughout my entire education. I taught 8th grade mathematics and Algebra for seven years, then transitioned into my current position: District Math Specialist. In addition to my degrees, I obtained additional certification in Middle School Math, High School Math, Middle School Reading, and teaching English as a Second Language. I have tutored students and adults in math since I was in middle school. Recently, I have helped students and adults achieve success in advanced level math classes all the way through college level Calculus.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I truly believe all students can learn and achieve in mathematics. Although all students take a different path, it is my personal mission to find ways for students to engage with math and find their inner mathematicians.
