When I was younger I often struggled in school, so I understand the challenges of many people's frustrations. However, I have overcome my initial challenges, and now love the learning process. My favorite subject to teach is mathematics, and I feel comfortable teaching to any age or ability level. As a Bio-medical Engineer for the US VA, and a recent graduate of the University of Rochester, I have been exposed to all types of teaching strategies, and am very flexible with my approach depending on the student.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
When it comes to teaching my priority is flexibility and adaptability to the student. From personal experience I have found the most effective educators cater directly to the needs of an individual student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
First sessions for me will typically involve an assessment of the student’s current ability level in the given subject. Also, a major priority will be answering any pressing questions the student may have.
