I am a native Francophone originally from Gabon (West- Central Africa). I reside in Omaha, Nebraska, and yes I am a Huskers fan! I have been tutoring both French & English ever since my high school years. I love it, I enjoy it and I know how to make it fun in the process. Besides English, I am fluent in French (of course), Spanish, and I am currently working on my German. Though, I am completing a Bachelors degree in International Relations with a concentration in African Studies, I take a huge interest in American Studies, which I am planning on getting a Masters in.

Here is my favorite quote which best translates my passion for languages and the reason I will make it easy and fun for you: "Speak to a man in a language he/she understands, and it goes to his/head head; Speak to a man in his/her language, and it goes to his/her heart" Nelson Mandela

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

Have fun while learning.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would discuss the student's interest in the subject he/she needs tutoring for. It helps identify the commitment level of the student in achieving that goal.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I would include some fun activities in the learning process, and ask questions to let the student participate and appreciate the session.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I would first identify what constitutes the major obstacle to the student's learning process, then evaluate some effective ways to go around the obstacle and make things a lot easier for the student.
