I graduated from De La Salle - College of St. Benilde and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Computer Applications. After graduation, I worked as a Pre-school teacher handling classes for 3-4 year old students covering all subject matters. As I fell in love with the teaching career, I decided to take a second course on education to hone me further on teaching. I attained this from St. Theresa's College and now hold a Diploma on Professional Education. After class hours, I tutored students from kindergarten up to the 6th grade. Some of them were regular students who came everyday after class and some of them only came during exam week. I assisted them in doing their homework, helped them study for their exams, guided them in doing their projects, and prepared them for their upcoming lessons. Because I was handling elementary students, I covered all of the subjects when tutoring them and put emphasis on those which they needed help the most. My favorite subjects to tutor are Reading, Phonics, and Writing. Anything that has to do with Language Arts is my forte. Although this is my preference, I am still able to teach and tutor my students about other subjects such as Science and Math. As long as I have access to their school textbooks and exercises, I will be able to help them hone their knowledge on these subject matters. Personally, I think tutoring is a matter of simplifying things to suit the learning style of each student which is a skill that every tutor must have. I believe that children need adults to bring out the best in them. They just need the guidance and inspiration so they can be pushed to reach their maximum potential.
