I grew up in West Texas and graduated from Texas Tech
University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical
Engineering. While working, I attended the University of
Dallas nights and weekends to earn a Masters Degree in
I worked for Hewlett-Packard Company most of my career,
helping engineers at Bell Helicopter, Rockwell, Texas
Instruments, and the U.S. Air Force solve challenging
electronics test problems. I moved to Hong Kong for two
years, conducting business from China to New Zealand,
Japan to India. I also lived in Fort Collins, Colorado,
while working for HP.
My hobbies have included playing the saxophone, tennis,
snow skiing, hiking in the mountains, scuba diving and sky
diving. I like music of all kinds. I speak Spanish fairly
well, though I do not try to teach in Spanish.
My style of helping students learn algebra and geometry is
"Let's make this fun!" Where possible, we discuss how the
math might apply to the "real" world.
