I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I taught high school math at as part of the Teach For America program. Beyond the classroom, I pushed students to succeed as both the JV football and basketball coach at my high school.
I moved out East last year to continue my education and am about to begin the second year of my masters program in Physician Assistant Studies here on Long Island.
I serve as the resident tutor to my classmates and enjoy helping others succeed academically. My teaching style is tailored to each student based on individual learning strengths. I've got an upbeat personality that is not only conducive to learning but enjoying the process.
Sports: I play basketball regularly and am a huge sports fan.
Traveling: I recently completed a trip through Spain and Morocco with Italy and Greece next on the bucket list.
Cooking: I'm always looking to find a new dish to try or to experiment with in the kitchen.
Outdoor Activities: Fishing, camping, hiking, exploring.
Reading: Both fiction and non-fiction.
