Hey there! I'm here both as a professional writer and educator. No matter what issues you may be having within the realm of Language Arts in English, I'd love to be able to assist! I have incredible patience, along with the mindset that we all have plenty of room for improvement, and that learning is a continuous and lifelong process. I also believe that learning should be fun. I hold a Multicultural Literature Degree with dual honors from SUNY Old Westbury, am a professional writer, and have tutoring experience with students who study ESL, speak English as their first language, and of all ages.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I'm an easy-going educator, but I believe with all honesty that, such as with most relationships, mutual respect between tutor and student is crucial.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would begin by simply speaking with the student in order to get the basis for what they may be having difficulty with, or what they are looking to improve. I would also see if they have material they have worked on in the past that they would like me to look at. Of course, if they have something urgent that needs to be turned in to their teacher/professor, then we would work on that immediately together. I would hope, of course, to get a good grasp on what sort of materials and books I might need in order to help guide the student from this first session.
