Does your young scholar need help in understanding place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication or division? Does your young scholar struggle with reading, reading comprehension, writing and grammar? Does your young scholar have trouble with homework? If so, look no further. I can help your scholar overcome their misunderstandings and become the best young scholar they can be.
For the past nine years, I have been teaching students and helping them to realize their goals. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am certified to teach grades Preschool through Third. I have taught the following grades; kindergarten, first, third, prekindergarten and even preschool! This year my focus is on third grade math and science. I have also tutored students in grades first through third in math and reading.
My approach to teaching is through hands on learning. Students need to manipulate their world in order to make sense of it. So through various manipulatives and/or real-life experiences students can move from the abstract to concrete. In addition, I make learning fun! My students love coming to my class and learning. They say it feels like a game, but the secret is that they are actually learning!
So if you want your scholar to be prepared for their road to college and beyond, I can help get them there. If you want learning to be fun and exciting for them, I can do that. If you want to start tutoring sessions today, I am your tutor!
