Hey! My name is Anshul and I'm a graduate from the University of Florida as an Economics Major on the premed track and I will be attending medical school next semester. I've been teaching and tutoring for several years and I love seeing my students grow over time. I always try to teach for understanding over memorization without making it a hassle. Also, I like to get to know my students if we will be working together for an extended period of time. My strengths are science, test prep, and reading/writing but I'm comfortable teaching a variety of subjects.

I am a freelance writer specializing in content writing, editing, and proofreading. I have degrees in English, Russian, and Russian Literature with minors in French and History. I love to bring my expertise in language, reading, and writing to students who want to improve their skills and achieve their goals.

In 2017, I founded an ACT tutoring program at a local community center for underprivileged youth. After leading my first few sessions, the entire class had demonstrated a marked improvement in their scores. It was then and there that I fully appreciated the importance of tutoring, and decided to expand my practice to one-on-one private sessions. With nearly three years of experience, I am confident in my ability to help any student--whether it's mastering a mathematical concept, improving a standardized test score, or perfecting an essay.I tutor for the ACT and SAT, as well as middle- and high school-level math and English (i.e., essay writing and reading comprehension). These four topic areas are my favorite subjects to tutor for a few reasons: first, the ACT/SAT--for better or for worse--is the ultimate equalizer when it comes to your college application. Improving your score by even a single point can directly impact your rate of acceptance. With years of excellent results, I am confident that the curriculum I've developed for standardized test prep will improve your ACT or SAT score. Finally, I have a deep passion for mathematics (especially as an economics major) and literature/composition (as both a writer and student journalist). These two subjects have been the central focus of my private lessons thus far. I have experience in tutoring English--writing and reading--as well as perfecting Common Application essays. I am a recent college grad working in one of the largest IT Healthcare firms in the US. While working, I intend to return to college for a Bachelors of Art in German, and in doing so, am putting myself in the shoes of those I hope to help. During my college career, I found myself helping a variety of people with a number of subjects ranging from history to science to writing- not to mention the number of programs I helped debug and the number of people I worked with to remember a variety of tenants that make up today's IT world.

I truly enjoy helping young people become the best versions of themselves, as I guide them through their learning goals! After graduating in 2007 from Clark University with a business degree, I went straight into account management, and remained in various similar positions for seven years. Knowing that these jobs were not what my heart truly desired, I looked into pursuing my dream of working with children, and started graduate school at Lesley University in 2014. I completed my degree requirements in December 2015 and will have my Masters in Elementary Education (1-6) degree conferred in February 2016. I have my SEI endorsement and initial licenses in elementary education and mathematics (1-6).Since September of 2014 I have been working as a kindergarten paraprofessional at the Carlton Innovation School in Salem, MA. I also provide substitute coverage when needed in classrooms throughout the school. My experiences as a para range from assisting the kindergarten teacher with classroom management to leading full class instruction if she is unavailable. I have also taken a role as an in home tutor for a student at the Carlton who has a medical condition which requires him to be hospitalized for three days each month. I have worked with him weekly since he was in the third grade, and he is now a fourth grade student. During my student teaching I led full class and small group lessons. I planned and taught a week long Lucy Calkins literacy unit and worked with a guided reading group. I proctored many assessments, including the Fountas and Pinnell benchmark assessment system, MCAS and ANet. I executed a week-long fifth grade mathematics unit and gained knowledge of the EnVision math curriculum. Through these experiences I have built strong personal relationships with my students, parents, and school staff.

I have over ten years' experience teaching in the classroom and tutoring privately. I especially love math; even though I know a lot of students find it difficult, I like showing them ways it can be enjoyable if not fun! I know it's tough and I'll never make you feel bad for not knowing the answer--but I'll make you feel good when you finally get it! I can explain things in a million different ways until I find the right method for the individual student. Plus, I'm super-funny and awesome.

I am a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently majoring in chemical and biomolecular engineering with a minor in energy and sustainability. I have a desire to work in the renewable energy industry after I graduate.
