I am a graduate of The King's College in New York City. I received my BA in PPE: Politics, Philosophy, and Economics in the Spring of 2013. Throughout college, I worked as a tutor for the Economics department. I have also gone on to work as a freelance writer, publishing essays and film reviews in places like The Atlantic and CT Magazine. I can tutor a wide range of subjects, but I am most passionate about English, Literature, Writing, Economics and Politics. I have worked in high schools for 5 years and have been teaching middle school since August. I have primarily worked with students not meeting benchmarks in reading and writing for their grade level, and have had a lot of success helping students close those gaps. Additionally, I have taught ACT prep classes and got a 28 on my ACT, earning a 33 on grammar and a 31 on the reading comprehension portion. At Yale, I was the Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal of Medicine and Law and was also active in student government and community service groups.I graduated high school with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and ranked 8th out of 695 students. I scored 5 on all 10 APs I took (US History, World History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, C, Calculus BC, Statistics, English Language and Composition, English Literature, and Computer Science). In high school, I was president of the debate team and on student council all 4 years.Currently, I am working toward an MD at Stanford University. I am a first-year medical student attending Rosalind Franklin University. I completed my bachelor's degree at UC San Diego studying Bioengineering with an emphasis on Control Systems and Mathematical Modeling. My main focus is tutoring elementary up to college-level algebra, calculus, and statistics. I used to work in the math tutoring center at the university I attended and I'm a Math major with a concentration in Statistics. Currently I teach highschool math. I love all things physics and mathematics. I am headed to West Virginia University in the fall to pursue a PhD in physics, and have a B.A. in physics from the SUNY College at Geneseo. I have tutored high school to late university physics, but have extensive experience with mathematics.I have taken algebra, geometry, trigonometry, Calculus 1-3, Differential Equations, Linear algebra, and mathematical methods in the physical sciences.
