My individualized tutoring methods also raised my step-son's Physics grade from a C to an A in one semester. I love math, and have a passion for sharing that love and knowledge. Progressing through courses of mathematics teaches much beyond what is on the page. I hold a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Information Technology University, Pakistan. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies in avionics engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. I worked as an Instructor at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Pakistan for more than 4 years where I taught a range of science and electrical engineering subjects.

I have a Bachelors degree and two Masters degrees in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Georgia. All of my degrees were earned with at least a 3.9 GPA and I earned the honor of being named the top math major from my undergraduate institution when I graduated. I have also had the pleasure of teaching mathematics at two different colleges and started tutoring math and physics over 20 years ago. I love helping students in topics related to math, to finance (public and private equity) and to engineering. I believe that if I can't explain concept, then I don't understand it. By that same token, if a student can't explain a concept back to me, then they don't understand it even if they say they do. I believe in getting to know all students, as their background is intricately connected with how they learn.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and I now work as a Lecturer for the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, School of Mathematics. I also obtained both my Bachelor's and Master's of Arts degree from Rhode Island College (RIC) and have worked as a Math Tutor and Teacher's Assistant throughout my time at RIC. Intellectually, I believe knowledge is fluid and requires practice to perfect. I enjoy showing my peers/students different ways of examining problems in order to achieve a well-rounded understanding of the material through derivation, never memorization. My main mission is to showcase my passion for Math and hopefully encourage students to see the beauty and wonder of this phenomenal subject.

Hi! My name is Carson. I graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University in 2018 with a degree in Russian (minors in math and physics) and I hold an Associates of Science from Big Bend Community College. I have been tutoring since 2013 at college, high school and middle school levels. I tutor all levels of math up to calculus II, as well as Russian, introductory chemistry, physics, special relativity and beginning quantum mechanics, but Russian and calculus are my favorites! I studied abroad in Russia where I got to visit the Red Square and Lenin's tomb! (I'll tell you all about it, but only if you ask in Russian...) I love helping people learn, and a huge part of my philosophy as a tutor is that ANYONE can learn to do math, solve physics problems, speak Russian, etc. With encouragement, motivation, time and attention, I have seen students will all starting levels of ability flourish and succeed in their studies.
