I received my Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature in China and earned my Master's degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Professionally, I am a marketing expert with experience across various industries and countries. As an enthusiast of Chinese literature, I love reading and writing in both Chinese and English. As the eldest sibling in my family, I naturally grew into the role of helping my younger sister and her friends with their homework. Before long, my parents suggested that since I was already helping her, why not assist some of their friends as well? And just like that, my teaching journey began. As a kid, I went from tutoring family friends to, later in high school, volunteering to tutor kids with disabilities in math. Now, in college, I tutor several children ranging from elementary to early high school in subjects like English, math, science, and social studies. Through these experiences, I've discovered a profound joy in witnessing the expressions of understanding on their faces when a challenging problem finally makes sense. Their growth and learning fill me with a pride that surpasses even my academic achievements. I've come to realize that teaching is more than just sharing knowledgeit's about nurturing confidence and curiosity in others. My goal is to help as many kids as possible, teaching them not just concepts but also how to believe in their abilities and embrace growth.

With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I currently work as a software developer for an EdTech startup. My passion for STEM and world languages being a native Mandarin speaker, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, and conversational in French enhances my teaching approach. With over 5 years of teaching experience, particularly in Mathematics, I focus on fostering a growth mindset in my students. Growing up in a very test-driven academic environment in China, I was very passionate about studying and developing effective learning methods. As a result, I had always been one of the best students in my school, despite the fierce competition. Also, I gained a great sense of achievement by helping my classmates in different subjects, such as math, English or general studying guide. I gradually developed an interest in tutoring. In 2008, I was selected to be a translator serving Beijing Olympic Games. I had an honor to share Chinese language and culture to American colleagues from Aramark. One year later, I worked in an international hotel and met people from all over the world. I love working with people! I was offered a full-tuition scholarship in an MBA program in the U.S because of my outstanding GMAT score. I scored 720 out of 800 after one month self-study, without any sort of training.
