I am currently enrolled in University of Maryland pursuing B.S. in both Biochemistry and Nutritional Science.I have worked in Kumon which is a educational program that mainly focus on students' math and reading skills for two years. During my time working there, I have found my interest in finding different ways to help kids learn the material more efficiently and also with more fun.I wish my students can learn things from me, and at the mean time they can have fun. I hope they can enjoy the material they are learning, because I think interest in the subject is one of the biggest motivation for students to study, so I don't want to push them too hard. It is the attitude towards studying that determines whether you are going to succeed in it. When you are playing video games, it is normal that you practice a lot to be good at it. You want to be good at it because you like it. It is the same thing with studying, if you enjoy it, you will find it easier to get good grades. Thus, my primary goal would be helping the students to find the fun part inside studying.Outside of school, I really enjoy making paper crafts, reading while petting my cat, and traveling. My dream land is Madagascar (Oh lemurs. They are the best). I am also learning Japanese right now since I am a huge fan of anime and Japanese dramas (let me point out again that interest in the subject is a big motivation for studying!)
