For my entire life, I've had a passion for mathematics. My earliest memory of using mathematics was at the age of three, I used math in order to tell time on my analog watch. I was so proficient at telling time that my preschool teacher would have to take my watch away because I would time her when she said, "We'll move on in a few minutes." As my mathematics education advanced through the years, math became less of a study of algorithms and how to compute, and more of a study of elegance. In Calculus, we learn the sophistication of the exponential function and how its value at a point is also its slope, and how we can use this to our advantage in differential equations. My lifelong love of mathematics, as well as many students' dismal outlook on mathematics, in conjunction with the gracefulness of mathematics that I am so fortunate to have been taught, pushes me to teach mathematics to young men and women, so that they can at least get a taste of the elegance of mathematics.

I am a graduate of Boston University having received a BA in Linguistics and Classics with a minor in Archaeology. I started tutoring during high school, helping people that were struggling to pass tests required to graduate from high school in Indiana. From this I learned the feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping people learn and achieve things they might not have been able to otherwise.My academic content fields I tutor focus on history and grammar. I am a firm believer that the stories of humanity's past give us a better understanding of the modern world, and I hope to be able share share as many of these exciting stories as I can. I am also deeply involved in test prep tutoring. I have taken and tutored both the ACT and the SAT. I enjoy tutoring these tests because I get the opportunity to see students learn about the ways that they learn and take tests. Furthermore, it's very rewarding to see students get excited about their tangible score gains that come as a result of hard work. I aim to adapt my approaches to each student, but this always includes assessing strengths and weakness, teaching and reteaching content, creating a strong sense of test format and timing familiarity, and sharing tips, strategies, and short cuts. By combining these efforts with hard work, each of my students can walk into their tests with confidence that has been earned as a result of preparedness.In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching baseball, and playing video games (especially games which have a historical setting as these are what triggered love of history).

I am deeply interested in ethics, and part of my value system is a strong belief in the transformative power of knowledge and wisdom. I aim to one day become a professor of philosophy (particularly ethics), and I am currently in the process of preparing for a joint JD/PhD in Philosophy. Consequently, I am interested in both theoretical and applied ethics. One of my core talents is the ability to convey concepts in multiple ways, and I like to think of studying philosophy as learning how to say complicated things with simple words.

Hello! I'm a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. I received my Bachelor of Arts in French, and minored in Film & Media Studies and Psychology. Since graduation, I have been working in Television while remaining passionate about French and helping others achieve their language learning goals. I'm a proponent of education in languages and cultures beyond one's own, as I find learning to understand and communicate with one another to be an particularly valuable and global skill. I graduated from medical school at Westhill University and completed three years of surgical training in several hospitals, here and abroad. As an undergraduate, I studied fine arts and French at l'alliance franaise.Throughout my clinical and surgical education I taught interns, medical students, nurses and other kind of medical staff. These years of experience helped me to improve in problem solving skills and undoubtedly increased my understanding of basic science. I currently work at UT Southwestern medical center at the Neuroscience Department.I currently tutor in Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, Physiology, Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, biochemistry, and Medical genetics. My favorite subject is Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. I have always been captivated by the structure of the human body and specially the structure of the brain. I also love teaching languages! Communication is all we have. A proper and efficient communication among us can be life-changing.
