I am also a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University where I received two Bachelor's of Science degrees in Engineering (Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering). My tutoring experiences began while I was in High School, tutoring middle school students in Math, and since then I have been a Teaching Assistant (TA) for three different courses in Engineering. While I was a TA I found that I really loved teaching students and helping them learn, which has helped me to identify my future career path of eventually becoming a professor. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math, Physics, and Biology as I find these subjects fascinating both in and out of the classroom. Now I am in my second year of medical school, once again at USC, with the hopes of either being a cardiologist or dermatologist -- still have plenty of time to decide! During college I tutored two kids in 6th through 8th grade math. I really enjoyed helping them with their homework assignments, preparing them for exams, and watching them improve in their courses. During this time, I learned how to be a very patient instructor and an effective communicator. As my dad was a high school math teacher, I also learned a few things from him about how to teach difficult subjects to students. Since I am in medical school, I obviously love science involving anything that has to do with the body, so I would be very excited to assist with biology or other topics in that area. In addition to general coursework, I'm more than happy to help with exam prep for the math, science, and writing sections of the SAT/ACT (no critical reading/reasoning...not a huge fan of that stuff!).
