About Me

I am a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with Bachelor's degrees in both Mathematics and Finance. As the second oldest of six kids, I have spent most of my life helping siblings with homework and adapting to different academic comfort levels. I am passionate about education and math has always been my favorite subject. I believe that learning should be fun and that there are many ways to learn the same thing, it is all about finding what works for you! I have seen too many people think that math is not for them, but I thoroughly believe it can be accessible for everyone with the right help and understanding. I have tutored friends, family, and peers for the past nine years and have developed an appreciation for creative teaching from experiencing so many different learning styles. Calculus is my favorite discipline within math, and I very much enjoy providing specialized tutoring to support success in standardized tests such as the SAT and GMAT. In all subjects, I like to teach confidence and a calm approach to problem solving rather than memorizing facts or formulas. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy cooking, exercising, playing basketball, and staying up to date on world events
