About Me

I received my Bachelor's degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from Hunter College, and my J.D. from Harvard Law School. At Hunter College, I studied economics, mathematics and philosophy and earned a 4.0 in all math courses (I completed math courses up to multi-variable calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra) and in graduate school my studies focused on business, finance, and corporate law. I also received a graduate level certificate in Advanced Calculus with Financial Engineering Applications from Baruch College's esteemed Financial Mathematics department and I am CFA candidate. The subjects I tutor are math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus), statistics, finance, economics, SAT Math and LSAT prep. I believe that classroom instruction is not always the most effective pedagogical approach for all students, and that 1-on-1 instruction can be tremendously helpful in overcoming obstacles and developing stronger learning and test-taking techniques. I enjoy this work because I find the subjects interesting and enjoy helping students succeed at something and develop confidence. My professional interests include economics, finance, value investing, venture investing, derivatives trading, and commercial real estate. In addition to my academic and professional interests, I enjoy art, film, poker, technology, muay thai kickboxing and basketball.
